For Thanksgiving, Nana, Poppy, and Bo came to us in North Carolina! Mom and Amiee came early (which was terribly helpful for me during those last days of school before Thanksgiving break), and Daddy/Poppy came a little bit later. Having an almost 1-1 adult-child ratio (depending on if Brad was available or working) was excellent. I was able to get through Claire's school work without interruptions! My energy levels weren't *quite* as depleted at the end of the day! And, it gave me a good opportunity for adult conversation. ALL GOOD THINGS.
Amiee/Bo and I took the girls to the playground across the street a few times to enjoy the perfect fall weather:
Amiee's camera is better than mine, it seems...
But just look at those faces!
They definitely got showers after this.
It had been almost 2 months since the Brassarts had seen Hallie, who had obviously grown quite a bit, so there was pretty incessant snuggling:
And just general snuggling with everyone (please don't fret- we had all been very COVID Careful prior to all the snuggling):
Everyone was thrilled when Poppy arrived! He's always a big hit around here:
He, like Amiee, made the trek across the street to the playground a time or two:
And, like the good sport he is, he spent all kinds of time outside with the children, entertaining them and helping manage all of the Energy.
There was general merriment and frivolity and the feeling of festivity that we'd been waiting for all the live-long year:
I do believe Thanksgiving will be at least a 3-part series... I took a lot of pictures, guys.
