Our time in Tennessee was packed with fun, even with the pandemic restrictions and concerns. The girls were thrilled at just about everything, even though we weren't going and doing like we normally would. A change of scene, some of their favorite people, and the excitement of Christmas was just an absolute delight.
We were SO glad that Ray Ray was able to come for Christmas! She's a physician's assistant and had been working like a FIEND right up until her visit.
Meeting Hallie (and leaning back because Hallie had just spit up- she wasn't scared of her)
A perennial favorite activity
A few Sunday morning pictures with Gran alongside our regularly-scheduled

She was such a mess while I tried to take a few nice pictures...but then she did this. I just can't keep up with her.
We took Hallie to meet Brad's Mamaw...
...and Aunt Donna!
We were in TN for the "Christmas Star," which we saw very easily! Getting a picture, however, was a totally different story. Here are my best efforts:
Close-up + screen shot
These girls were very excited to see it.
One activity we all really enjoyed that got us outside was the TN equivalent of the Tinsel Trail (for you Huntsvillians). I'm sure lots of towns have something similar at Christmas: businesses and organizations around town sponsor and decorate Christmas trees that are displayed in an area for visitors to stroll through.
After a strange year and such a fun visit, it was particularly sad to say goodbye. I did, however, grab a couple of good "see you later" pictures:
Yes, Baby Reflux McSpitUp is wearing two bibs here. And yes, they were both necessary on our journey home.
Such a great Christmas visit! The girls never ran out of fun things to do, and the none of us ever ran out of snacks (thanks, Barbara, for keeping the snacks coming!).
