Being back at church has been SO exciting for us, as we were virtual for over a year. I don't usually take pictures at church, but going without in-person church for so long made being back photo-worthy.
Pentecost Sunday was also our pastor's last sermon before retiring. It was very bittersweet, and I definitely teared up several times.
Especially during communion
Mom gave the girls these red dresses at Christmas, and when she opened it, Claire said, "Oh! These will be PERFECT for Pentecost!"
We get a picture of the girls every Sunday, so I snapped one of Brad and me.
Back at church with friends!
Post-church playground time!
Since we're not quite back to full speed at church (Sunday school, etc), we've been getting out of church earlier than usual. Thus: playground with friends.
After this particular Sunday, I learned to pack play shoes and snacks in the car on Sundays.
During our year away from in-person church, we met virtually every Sunday with a group that went through the liturgy together, watched the sermon, and prayed together. As a way to close out that chapter, our facilitator invited us all over to grill after church.
Snapped a bathroom selfie to document what Pandemic-Era Church looks like. #mask
I love dressing Hallie in dresses that Amiee or I wore as babies.
Grabbed this shot of Claire running and having a blast while we had a post-church picnic with friends.
And please enjoy these Instagram stories I put up one Sunday:

We are very grateful to be able to worship in-person with our church again. It was a very long year of virtual worship. Glad we have the technology for it, but I'm glad we're not doing it anymore!

it was fun to see your oldest two in children's worship this summer :)
and I like the red dresses for Pentecost (children's worship has emphasized the holiday to me)
