Dearest Hallie,
I don't know how you manage it, but each month, you get cuter, sweeter, and more fun. We all still find it unbelievably hard to tear ourselves away from playing with you and watching you explore the world around you. You are just. so. fun!
Following in true Boswell Baby Girl tradition, you are still only marginally interested in mobility. This is probably due largely to the fact that your head, like your sisters before you, measures in the 98th percentile. It means you're very smart, of course, but also wear out easily when trying to hold it up. You are fairly proficient in rolling, are becoming more stabile with sitting (although you do still topple. Again...your head), and you LOVE to bounce and jump in the Jenny Jump-Up.
You've been eating more and more table food this past month. We've given you lots of fruit and veggies, different kinds of bread and rice, yogurt, cheese, and various and sundry bites of the food that we eat at meal times. Your interest in food is growing, as is your insistence on being an active part of meal times.
Not only are you insistent on being a part of meal times, you very much want to be in the thick of the sister fun. The girls love to play with you, and you love to watch everything they get up to. I should mention that I work very hard to ensure that you don't get trampled on or buried under stuffies. This is not as easy as it sounds, to be sure.
You're, perhaps the world's best sleeper. I LOVE YOU FOR THIS.
For the first time in your 8 months of life, you went inside our church building on April 18! It was so exciting to finally see you in a place that, up until the past year, was such an integral part of our family's life. It is so encouraging to think that this is going to become a regular part of your life moving forward. (Lord, hear our prayer)
You are just the light of our life, Hallie-copter. Thank you for being you.
Love,
Mommy
