Boswell beach trip 2021

We were so happy to make another trip to Topsail Island this past summer! It has become a really special beach spot for our family, and we really love our time there. (Also: warning. This is a huge photo dump of a post.)

Bill and Barbara drove over and spent the night before we all headed out the next morning.

This Pandemic-era baby is highly skeptical of people who do not live in our house and will make you WORK for her affection. She'll grow out of it, but it is a tricky thing.

It usually takes a little less than 3 hours to get there, so we typically have time for some beach walking after we arrive.

Hallie's first beach trip

Trumpkin, of course, made the trip.

He and I tried to get down the beach during rest time every day, at least for a little while.

You never know where Trumpkin will appear...

I *finally* bought an actual cover up and an actual sun hat like a real live grown-up.

He really is the very best dad.

Enjoying her sweet ride

The most fabulous beach hair

I found a couple pockets of time for this, and it was glorious.
(Reading a Mrs. Pollifax book, for anyone interested)

Squeezed in a date night

Kites!

Ray Ray got to join us for most of the week!

Ray Ray is very popular with this crew.

Hallie made Rachael WORK for her affection. Geez. But, Rachael prevailed and won her over.

We had gorgeous weather and a great time! I have no idea how many more years we'll get to go to Topsail, but I'm grateful for all the time we've gotten to spend there over the years. Thank you, Gran and Grandpa!

Just another friendly reminder that I'm still playing catch-up. Clearly, it is not currently July... We made another annual trip to Tops...
