A date with Lily

We decided to take each of the girls out- individually- on a Mommy-Daddy-Daughter date before New Baby joins us. This was an important idea to me, and once my mom got to town, I wanted to make sure it happened. We didn't have super definite ideas of what to do or when to do it, and we sort of ended up winging it with both girls. It's not usually my style, and yet, it worked out well on both fronts. We took Lily first, and she was SO into it!

READY for fun.

Much like her birthday, we took her to Krispy Kreme.

Previously, we've always gone to KK when the red light is on and just gotten hot glazed donuts. This time, the red light was on, but we let Lily pick the donut she wanted: chocolate glazed with sprinkles.

She started out in her own stool, but she could barely get her chin over the edge of the table. She was eating her donut oh-so-carefully, too, trying to ensure she didn't lose any sprinkles.

Brad helped her out and gave her a little clearance between her face and the table.

We had the best time with her! After she finished her donut, she spent a long time dancing to the music playing over the speakers. We were the only ones eating in the restaurant, so she could literally dance all through the store. And she did. She absolutely understood that this was a special time just for her, and she rather reveled in it. We were only gone from home for about an hour, but it was an hour really well spent. Love love love you, Lily!
