Boswell visit: October 2019

Gran and Grandpa came to see us toward the end of October, and we got to take them around to our favorite spots and introduce them to some of our favorite people!

They arrived after nap on a Wednesday, so we packed up snacks and took them right away to our neighborhood park for some play time.

And because we are creatures of habit, after Brad left for Dumbarton the next morning, we took them to the zoo to see our animal friends.

This was just a little before Halloween, so the elephant was obviously dressed up. And mummied up.

The small mammal house is a really fun exhibit!

On this particular visit, one of the zookeepers led a mini lesson about armadillos.

The Asia Trail is a definite favorite.

Pandas!

Red pandas!

Also true to form, we took them to see Dumbarton later that evening.

Behind the scenes

Dumbarton's grounds are so unbelievably beautiful. One of the fun parts of Brad's fellowship was lunch provided daily and prepared by Dumbarton's in-house chef, who sourced seasonal veggies from the gardens. Garden-to-table, if you will.

We had several more days packed with fun and visiting, but I'm going to break these posts up a little, in a vain attempt to make them shorter (ha). But I'll wrap this one up with this sweet bedtime view...

Boswell beach trip 2022: part 1

Just another friendly reminder that I'm still playing catch-up. Clearly, it is not currently July... We made another annual trip to Tops...
