Anyway, Amanda has lived in the District for 5+ years and knows all the fun things. So one crisp morning in October, we bundled up and met Amanda and her sister in Old Town Alexandria (which is DARLING) at the oldest farmer's market in the country, followed by a few hours at Cox Farm's amusement park of a pumpkin patch/corn maze/fall extravaganza!

Apparently, George Washington attended this church
This farm's fall setup was insane. It was enormous and had just about every activity you and imagine. Hay bale tunnels, multiple slides, corn maze, fair food, pumpkin patch and tractor rides, livestock...just all the things.
Getting to milk a cow!
And getting to be cows
This one was our limiting factor; when she was done, she was DONE. And so were we.
On our way home, we ended up picking up McDonald's for lunch, which I'm thinking the girls might never have had before. What a treat. The girls had such a big day that they took really long, hard naps that afternoon. Pretty sure I had to wake at least two of them up so that they wouldn't sleep too long. Brynnie ended the day by running a fever and starting a cough, poor girl, so we definitely started the day stronger than we ended. But a fun day, nonetheless!
