Brad and I celebrated our 9th anniversary on June 4! We commemorated it by going to my urology appointment to follow-up after my kidney stone saga. We know how to PARTY. (We did pick up Chick-Fil-A for lunch on the way home, so there's that.)
Playing a game from Mrs. Breanne that has been the gift that keeps on giving!
Marking the day on our way to the doctor.
Barbara was with us at the beginning of June (she had come to help during the kidney stone drama), and she faithfully took the girls to the church playground across the street, where Claire worked diligently on her climbing skills.
Success! She touched the top!
We continued having homemade fun around the house:
Dress-ups
Cultivating friendships with local wildlife (see the chipmunk?)
Popsicles in our plastic pools
Heading out to go play with the dogs down the street...
Everyone needs sunglasses for playing with the dogs...
The extra flair is very much needed, you know?
Reading together
Snuggling
Yummy snacks (and beverages...and yes, we have a wall-sized mirror on the wall in our coffee bar area. It was there when we moved in.)
Our babysitter's mom (who is also the children's director at our church) got baby chicks this summer, and Lydia very kindly arranged to bring the chicks over for the girls to see, which was a huge hit!
Beth and Lydia were so kind and thoughtful (and brave). The girls had so much fun meeting the chicks.
I have now given Brynnie her own monthly posts, but here are just a couple of pictures that I didn't get into her post:
Such a snuggly gal, she is.
June was a fun month around here (trips, activities, baby chicks). 2020 has been a mess in so many ways, but it's also brought some really good moments. Thankful for that, for sure.
