Found a friend.
My girls love birds, so Claire was very excited to get this close.
On our first day, we spent most of it in Islands of Adventure (which is where Seuss Landing and Hogsmeade/the Castle are), and we spent much of our second day in Universal Studios (which is where Diagon Alley is). We headed to Gringotts first thing so that we could *hopefully* bypass the super long lines. Which we did!
Waiting for the dragon to breathe fire. Lily had a very conflicted relationship with the fire-breathing dragon over the course of the week. It's pretty loud, so she was simultaneously mesmerized by the novelty of it and scared by the noise.
Inside Gringotts. We were early enough that the line moved too fast to take too many pictures. FINE BY ME.
We always ask a King's Cross worker for a picture with Claire! This is one of my personal favorite things that we do.
We also love to spend time in the Curious George section of Universal Studios. It is such a sweet and fun area for our George-loving crew, so we hung out there for a while, which was a big hit with all the girls.
This ball factory is such a fun, kid-friendly, run-around area, and we have NEVER found it crowded. We literally had to drag the girls out of there to go get lunch.
We have a tradition of Amiee getting a picture with the youngest girl in the tuk-tuk that is at the entrance to Islands of Adventure. Brynnie was about a year older than the other two girls had been for their pictures, but we are creatures of habit and took the pictures despite that pesky detail.
Lily was a taddy bit tired and actually sat quietly while we took pictures.
Brynnie being older meant that she wiggled and moved and didn't cooperate quite as well as her sisters had at younger ages. What can you do?
Group shot!
On this day in the parks, we saw the Things and the Cat in the Hat at their official picture spot. One of the Things was very obviously the same one from the day before; he/she clearly recognized and was delighted to see the girls again. I also had to physically restrain the girls from running and cutting to the front of the line because they were so excited to see them again.

We rode the Forbidden Journey (the ride inside the castle) for the first time this trip, and it was fun to see the girls' reactions to all of the sights inside, although I didn't get too many pictures of it, thanks to how dark it was.
We took the Hogwarts Express back over to Universal Studios so that we could get ice cream at Florian Fortescue's. Brynn really enjoyed the train rides because we set her free from her stroller restraints. She also insisted on sitting on the bench BY HERSELF because she was such a big girl.
Before heading to the hotel for bed, we stuck around for a few minutes of the Christmas parade! The girls loved it! Many of the floats were the same Universal-sponsored floats that were used in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade. They loved the Despicable Me and Madagascar floats, especially.
Brassarts and Boswells love the Despicable Me movies. You should ask any of the girls to talk like a minion. They're really quite fluent.
Another great (and exhausting) day! You can imagine how fast these little girls crashed in their beds. (And also their parents...)
